How to Make the Perfect Salad
I totally cringe when people tell me they don't like salads. I'm not trying to salads are the only way to eat healthy (definitely not!) but they are a good way to get lots of nutrients, easy to put together, and the flavor combinations are endless.
Greatist has a cute and handy infographic to help the salad illiterate.

Happy National Running Day!
Who comes up with these days, anyway?
It's actually quite fitting, becuause for whatever reason I felt super awesome on my run this morning. My typical pre work solid run is an 8 mile out and back from my house. Today, I took a detour with the intention of getting to 8 and then walking a few blocks back home. I felt pretty good, and thought I may as well run the extra distance to make it an 8.5. Still feeling awesome with plenty of time, I extended it to a 9 mile run and would have been happy to keep going if it weren't for the whole getting ready for work thing.
Brooks, one of my favorite brands, provided this nifty infographic for National Running Day 2013:

veggies, vitamins, and a plug for spinach
Another neato infographic, brought to you by LifeHacker.
(Sadly, my favorite vegetable is not included! Feel free to add butternut squash in the A, B6, and C wedges.)
I always knew that spinach was awesome, but check this out- it's in all but one of the categories that include vegetables. Bring on the greens!

Really cool chart from a really cool tumblr.
My life-long thick thighs tell me I was born to be a cyclist.
